La Boheme is a big tragedy. The biggest 3 operas of Puccini are~ M. Butterfly, La Boheme, and Turandot. He liked to creat the tears from the audience. Mostly every single story, the main character finally would die, except for Turandot, she didn't die cuz before finishing this opera, Puccini died......
And so, almost every opera from Puccini makes the audiences shed a bag of tears, but it shows the magic power of  the combination of music and theater. For ex, M. Butterfly's Japonese samurai spirit, Liu for not appealing the secret and suicided, Mimi's dead for the illness. All of these scenes under the powerful and beautiful music, always make the stage and under the stage full of a incretible atmosphere, the singers are no longer themselves, but in the huge pain of the characters, the audience as well forget about where there are, very much into the stor itself. Such lovely emotion, always occurs my feelings.
But after the show, what do we do in the backstage? First everyone would take off the costume immediately, though they're fancy and nice looking, but after many days on us, they smell a little bit... Then it's the terrible hair, everyday, I have to pull down hundreds of my hair for taking off my hat from the head. I remebered it was even worse when I was playing M. Butterfly, the japonese type of hair style, on my head were hundreds of hairpins, and full of the carcinogenic hairspray. I felt sorry for the skin of my head every single day. Then it's the theater make-up, it's really the killer of the skin. Your skin can't breathe at all with this make-up, and it's difficult to clean out as well!! The skin around your eyes is very sensitive, and it's always hurted, 1 word~"Pain!" Then it comes to we chorus members, mostly we do the parts of the crowds on the stage, we step here and there, when we're happy, we squeez eyes to each other and have fun, but there're also sometimes we step each others' feet.... but can you shout for it? NO! you still have to sing and put the smile on the face, cuz our boss in the side of the stage stares at you, so you can only take off your shoes right away after, check out if your toes were broken or not....
A successful theater, is like a vase, before it's done, the scultor has to punch it, shape it, burn it in the fire, finally gets the wonderful result. What can entertain us, except for the drama itself, is only taking the picture, try to get some fun by ourselves...
波希米亞人是一個大悲劇, 浦契尼的三大歌劇為~蝴蝶夫人, 波希米亞人, 杜蘭朵公主. 他最喜歡騙人眼淚, 幾乎每個故事女主角最後都會死, 除了杜蘭朵公主非他完成的,寫到一半他自己就死了........
除此之外,  所有的浦契尼歌劇到最後一幕都讓觀眾哭的西哩嘩啦的. 可是戲劇融合音樂的偉大與張力就是再這一刻展現出來. 比方蝴蝶夫人的日本殉道精神, 柳兒為了不洩漏秘密而自刎, 咪咪因重病而撒手人寰. 這幾幕在壯烈又柔美的音樂之下, 總是舞台上下充斥著不可思議的氛圍. 歌手們超脫出自己, 唱出劇中人物的痛苦, 而觀眾也忘卻週遭, 投身故事懷抱中. 這樣美麗的情懷, 總是每每令我剎然起雞皮咯瘩.
一但下戲, 我們在後台做什麼?? 首先大家會迫不及待的脫掉戲服, 它們雖然華麗又漂亮, 可是穿了好幾天都有點味道了, 再來就是應付可怕的頭髮, 我每天都要拔掉好幾百根頭髮才能把我頭上這頂帽子拆下來, 演蝴蝶夫人時日本式的髮髻更教我頭痛, 頭上插了幾百根的髮夾, 還噴了一堆致癌的髮膠, 我幾乎天天都為我的頭皮感到難過. 再來是舞台妝, 簡直就是皮膚殺手, 舞台妝讓皮膚呼吸不過來, 而且還十分難卸掉. 眼睛附近的皮膚最敏感了, 我常常因為卸舞台妝, 眼睛附近的皮膚出現小破皮的現象, 一個字: "痛". 再來我們合唱團的團員們, 都是演群戲的時候多, 在舞台上踏來踏去, 開心時會不時擠眉弄眼, 淘氣的很. 可是也有彼此踏到彼此的腳的時候, 你能叫痛嗎?? 不行! 還是得開口唱, 還不能忘詞, 因為老師在側台虎視眈眈的盯著你. 只好下了戲, 趕忙脫掉臭哄哄的鞋子, 看看腳指頭斷了沒有....
ㄧ齣賺人熱淚的戲, 就像一只花瓶, 在造就之前, 先經過雕塑師搥打, 揉捏, 塑型, 再火烤, 最後才焠鍊出美麗的成果. 能取悅我們的, 除了本身把舞台做好之外, 就是拍拍照, 苦中作樂一番了....
